Many cornerstone figures of the current New York Street Art scene passed through AdHoc Gallery during its heyday and many came to celebrate the community-based AdHoc Arts that they developed into at a 10th Anniversary show recently held at 17 Frost in Brooklyn.

A family reunion of graff and Street Art fans and practioners kept the flexible show space full all night while photographer Luna Park held court at her table for the inaugural event for the launch of her first book “(UN)Sanctioned : The Art on New York Streets”
Here are few of the selections on offer at that show and some of the guests who came through. We start above with this cheery welcome by New York Street Art institution and man of the street, John Ahearn, with his portrait of NY graffiti writer Smith. It’s followed by the ever stellar street social psychologist NohJColey advising to use your head.
